President George H.W. Bush-Signed Letter from 1998 Custom Framed

Letter to Mr. and Mrs. Jennings Osborne, in full: "Four months have now passed since our Presidential Library opened its doors on November 6th. It was a wonderfully exciting day for Barbara and me. What is equally exciting to us is that the number of visitors to the Library and Museum has exceeded all estimates and the responses have been overwhelmingly positive. Since the dedication, nearly 125,000 people have visited the Presidential Museum; and, according to the Library staff, there are no signs of a slow-down in terms of numbers of visitors.

All this has been made possible because of the interest and generosity of friends like you. I just want you to know that your gift is paying great dividends, because most of the visitors have been school children taking part in organized educational programs developed by the fine Museum staff. This is important to Barbara and me, and we want you to know how grateful we are for what you have done.

Barbara and I are becoming increasingly involved with activities at both the Library and the Bush School; and since dedication, we have been spending time each month in our beautiful apartment at the Library Center. It is a particularly favorite spot for Sadie, Millie's successor, who loves to run in the open fields and swim in the lake on the Center grounds.

Now that the wonderful dedication ceremony is well behind us, Barbara and I hope you will be able to visit this beautiful Library Center in the very near future.
